I wouldnt call Alex Gordon "plagued" with injuries. Other than his hip he broke his nose the last day of the season and was out a couple of weeks (in spring training) due to a broken thumb.

Alex has all the tools to succeed at the MLB level. I cant fathom why he is not producing.

Under YOST - I believe they're 13-13. 8-11 since they entered a tougher schedule. They're doing better than I thought they would at this point.

former brave. at one point he was supposed to be chipper's replacement but that never happened. then they turned him into a bench guy who could play multiple positions. then they shipped him to the dodgers i thought. that was the last place i remember being. basically he is someone who didnt live up to his potential when he was younger.

Royals with a nice road series win over the first place Reds. Zach was great today, and actually got some run support.

Gotta feel good for Zach as it's been a bumpy road this year. Also nice to see KC hit and score. Except for DeJesus, who's been on a terror since mid-May, most of the Royals have been in a hitting funk.

Before today, Guillen since April 27th hitting .225, Podsednik since May 6th .236, Callaspo over last 19 games .187, Aviles last 18 games .227, Butler (until today !) last 11 games .162 and 3 RBIs, and Kendall 0-17 over last four games now 0-22 for last 5.
