Nebraska fans should be happy, Turner Gill is about the only name where there seems to be mutual interest.

With a career losing record at Buffalo (20-30), they think he's the perfect choice.

uhh you do realize that Buffalo was the worst D-1 program in the country, so that record is not the same as coaching at a BCS school.

Me, I'm not interested either, but entertained none the less.
They talked to Randy Dreiling??? I'm not sure if my sarcasm meter is properly calibrated.

I'm sure they did.... How couldn't you..... I mean they ARE KU aren't they? I forgot to mention that now that Meyer has turned down Notre Dame he could be the top name on the list. I guess my cousins sisters brothers ex-girlfriends former roomates boyfriends mom works in the KU athletic department and the following was "allegedly" heard coming from somewhere near the office of the Athletic Director on a speaker phone:

Unidentified Person 1: "...head coaching job?"

Unidentified Person 2 (based on phone records believed to be somewhere in Florida, though even this is unconfirmed): "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! OOOOH THAT'S RICH!!!!!"

Unidentified Person 1 (after hanging up): "Can you believe the ARROGANCE of that guy?"

He lost more games this year than he did last year...

I don't care if you're at Buffalo, the trend line has got to point up.

im not trying to make excuses for him, but he had major injury problem, and when your at buffalo (im guessing its one of the hardest places to recruit to in the country) and that happens, then you are going to most likely have a bad record.

                    Tuberville, Harbaugh spice KU list
The former Auburn coach says he'd like to talk with KU; sources say Stanford's coach is a top candidate.

Too close to call my friend. :D

Am I the only one that thinks KU would be a huge step BACKWARDS for the Stanford coach?

I can see why the average bandwagon, superficial, know nothing KU fan (I know that's awfully redundant) would be excited about the prospect of Harbaugh being their next coach. I just find it hard to believe Jim is interested any more that just getting leverage for his current job or a real job. The only people that think KU is a real football program are a few KU knuckleheads. Everyone else knows its a 2nd rate program, with 2nd rate support, 3rd rate facilities and will ALWAYS play 2nd fiddle to basketball. They do, however, have a 1st rate dick for an AD.

I actually think Turner Gill would do an admirable job at KU....but he could do a GREAT job and be just over .500. But I don't think for 1 nanosecond that he is even being considered by Lew. Feel free to read ANYTHING into that you want.

The rumors I am hearing is Perkins has offered Harbaugh 2.3 million to be KU's coach. That is a slight up tick in pay for his 750K salary at Stanford. That would help offset the step backwards in the program department. I'm not sure how Bill Self will feel about this. Since he is the one making the money for the athletic department. If this rumor is true, Lew may get his coach. However, if Harbaugh comes and doesn't win, Lew may be looking at early retirement (well maybe not early, he is no spring chicken).

Harbaugh will only stay 2 years max, as he will take the first NFL job offered to him or the michigan job, which ever opens first.

Not really surprised if this is the case. I wouldn't want to work for sweet d-bag lew either. I think they will have a hard time finding a "name" coach because of that fact and the way the Mangino situation was handled.
