Grabbing a facemask/helmet/jersey, poking the chest = getting someone's attention.

Hands around someone's neck = anger management issue and complete disrespect for other humans.

The latest dirt is that he spent 10-minutes berating a KU student working for the transit dept for giving him one of 20+ deserved parking tickets. The man has no respect for others.

Remember the f-bomb laden tirade of a player that showed up on YouTube a year or two ago? It was during a game and if I recall, was for something relatively minor (though I could be wrong).

The man has a pattern of conduct that has been kept largely under wraps when KU was winning.

Exactly! Poking someone in the chest is one thing, I think we are talking about a whole other thing when you put your hands around someones neck. Spin it anyway you want, hands around neck = choking.

I'm not sticking up for Mangino or the hawks in asking this question,...but where did someone learn that choking was involved.....if second hand info from some KC AM radio station talk show is the only source, then I think we should wait for more credible facts before we execute a judgement on anyone. After all, isn't that the way we (WSU) would want everyone to treat our athletes & coaches?

to be fair in this instance someone could be telling you its a duck but instead referring to something other than a duck.

And not to just pick on you because overall I dont really give a crap about what goes on up there you're saying in your post that you never said it happened but then directly imply that it is happening based upon someones report.

No, what I tried to say was that I never said anyone was choked, but I'm pretty sure something happened or there wouldn't have been a meeting of the entire football team yesterday and numerous people coming out of the woodwork. It's not like it's one disgruntled player, it's multiple players and people who have been around the program. I think that is enough information to say, at the very least, something shady went on.

I do like that parents of former players who are adults (and should be able and allowed to speak to the AD themselves) are wanting to speak to the AD being allowed to meet with the AD about the situation. This tells you something about the situation also. This borders on being humerous even though the situation may not have any humor to it.

No sense making any stuff up. Ninety percent of what this thread has said Mangino did has never been reported by any reputable source. The truth may well be damning enough, so why embellish?

The little man syndrome WSU has with KU has gotten old. If we cared so little about the Hawks, why would we GAF about this story?

The scuttlebut is that every single football player met with Perkins and told him that they hate Mangino's guts. The parents of former players are about to back that up.

I do not believe in abusing players to get results, but I also do not believe in babying them either.

Saying that KU has underachieved this year is an understatement.
