  • And leave it up to a ex KSU player to blow a tackle that allows the Bucs to get some momentum. Did you see Jon McGraw right on the heels of Clinton Smith when he was returning the kick-off? Right on his damn heels and McGraw slides off the back of him like butta'.

My 2-year old could have stuck her hand out and tripped the guy up. Freakin' K-State players!

Here's the link, look for "Clifton Smith kickoff"

I'm still sticking with this team could possibly be the worst in the history of the NFL. I know the Bucs lost every game one season, but come on...these guys couldn't beat K-State right now. And K-State is BAD!!!

      • That's absurd rr.

Personally, I'm ok with how the game went. Yes, they blew a huge lead and shouldn't have lost, but you can take away plenty of positives amongst many of the young players. And as I said before the season began, that's all I want to see. The young guys show improvement in certain areas.

Kick coverage has been pretty bad lately though.

          Speaking of absurd..

Young or not, there's little excuse for blowing that big of a lead against a mediocre offensive team who was held to 9 points a week ago.

I could see a person like me being ok with how this game went, but not an actual die-hard Chiefs fan..

Yip, nothing to gain with the chiefs winning today. Best possible scenario is this happens every week.

              • I agree with Sub, as long as they are competing then i am fine with games like today and last week. Just i dont wanna see the carolina and titans performance, where they act like they dont belong in the NFL By the way you can call me crazy but i think we may have something special with Thigpen.

                • No question he's had a pretty good two games...but in all honesty, you were saying that about Croyle earlier this year too.

but when did croyle actually have 2 good games in a row, hell i dont even remember 1 good game like thigpen has had in the last 2 weeks. It could be a fluke, it could not. But the fact is Thigpen has shown that this is his job to lose. If he keeps playing like this the rest of the year, then i really dont think we need to draft a QB. Maybe get a decent veteran type of a guy to back him up.

                    • And as expected, Kolby Smith is out for the year. Next weeks RBs will be Charles, Savage and Battle.

                      • I agree with sub, I'm seeing signs of greatness from this team. Unfortunately, not enough. You can't give up a 3 touchdown lead to any team. This team has a long ways to go. I'm still not sold on Thigpen. Yes, he's doing pretty well so far, but against pretty weak defenses in the Jets and Bucs. I'd like to see how he does against a defense like the Steelers or Patriots. He does look like he has potential though.

                        • Yikes that sucks losing Kolby! Good thing they got Charles, and he's been looking good.

I know you guys are hoping for #1 overall but for morale I'd like to see the guys win a game like this just so they're not demoralized. That really sucked letting that one get away, but that's vintage Chiefs "prevent yourself from winning" defense in the 4th quarter. And again not being able to pick up just one first down cost them at the end.

I am glad to see Thigpen playing well (and the o-line too) against a pretty good defense. It seemed like they had a good game plan to start but once it all worked and TB adjusted, they couldn't do anything in the 2nd half. Just one good TD drive in the 2nd probably wins the game, but they didn't do much of anything.

You take away McGraw's missed tackle, McBride's foolish penalty that kept the FG drive going, or the questionable pass interference call on Gonzo's amazing catch and they win the game, which really sucks! Good to see improvement though, so I'm pleased with that.

                          • I put some of the blame on the coaching staff. With young players they have, and as they said during interviews, you have to make sure they don't lose focus. You don't do that with the play calls on both sides of the ball that were made in the 2nd half. They laid down like they had won the game in the 3rd.

We could see a better than Atlanta turn around next year if Herm goes. If not, be prepared for another season of almost's and what coulda been's.

might want to check your facts tho, Jets were the 12th ranked defense and the Bucs which are a defensively minded team are the 5th ranked defense. If you think the bucs are a weak defense, then i like to know what you think about our defense

                              • Another Note, that Offensive PI on TG was such BS. First off the TB defender was holding all the way down the field, and then Tony barely touched him (which by the way he was falling down before he touched him). I just thought that was such a horrendous call.
