What do we get for him? Low 2nd? High 3rd?

I'd be suprised if we can get a 4th rounder out of this guy. What team wants a RB who will turn 30 in the middle of next season, who is known to be disruptive to team chemistry and has off the field issues?

I agree, we need to cut our losses with him ASAP, but the Chiefs would hit the jackpot on anything higher than a 4th rounder. We all know RB's that hit 30 start to go down hill and LJ has some wear-and-tear.

Why are Chiefs fans so excited about Cowher??? It took him 13 seasons to win a Super Bowl.

I dont really want him, Chiefs have already made a mistake and went into the past and hired Vermiel, and that is why we are in the rebuilding stage. I rather get a up and comer like Spaguloa the DC from the Giants.

Plus, don't expect much better than 2-14 next year with games against Dallas, Giants, Philly, Washington, Jacksonville, Baltimore, and Pittsburgh.
Winnable games against Cleveland, Cincy (which should have been a winnable game this year), and Buffalo.

I'll be happy with 3 wins.

one thing that did kind of make me feel better about Herm if hes back is that in his presser he did say they will be active in the free agency market this off season.

They just don't need to get too carried away with FA. That's what got us in this spot to begin with. They need to be smart about it and continue to draft well.

I agree with that, but alot of these Free agents are guys that are in their prime and they are around 26 or 27 years old, which that wouldnt hurt the youth movement.

Cowher won`t go to the Jets because he wants to pick his own personnel & doesn`t want their GM.

Would the Chiefs hire Cowher then let him pick a GM ???

I`d put Shanny before Cowher for the teams currently searching for a new one. Raiders were stupid to let him go but could re-hire him.

I would put Cowher ahead of him, but not by much. Im just Shocked that he got canned.
