He went 0-4 last night and is somewhere around .367.

But the point is, he does appear to be doing pretty well. I want to see him sustain it before going back to KC.

Last night Butler went 2-4 with a HR, 2B, BB and 3 RBI. He's hitting .377/.441/.679 for an OPS of 1.120.

So, in spite of the small sample size in Omaha here are his KC/Omaha splits:

I'm particularly pleased with the difference in SLG and that he's only K'd twice. And 80% of his ABs have been against RHP. He has killed the little bit of LHP he's seen (11 ABs, .455/.600/.727, 4 BBs).

Another week or two of this and I think he should be recalled.

You really hit on all the keys. I have to think the Royals are pleased with the results at this point. You also have to give Butler some credit for approaching this maturely. I know he was initially extremely unhappy.

So, is Mike Aviles for real?

4-4 tonight, 4 R, 2 2Bs and a HR. Hitting .371 with a 1.148 OPS. Small sample size, but he's looking pretty good.

It looks like Aviles has officially become the everyday shortstop over Pena. At this point, it might be best for TJ to move to Omaha where he can get more at bats and see if he can figure things out. Defensively he's just fine but he's going to have to learn to hit if he wants to be an everyday guy in KC or elsewhere.

Meche pitches well and helps himself. DeJesus also hits first career Grand Slam on way to setting a new personal record. Royals take the series from the D-Backs and head for the Lou.

upon further investigation they will be replaying all the games the afternoon after. So for those of you who are at home during the day can watch them and game 3 of the series they will broadcast on regular FSN.

They will be showing the whole Giants series in HD though. Thats cool and all but this is the freaking cardinals. Thats like not airing a Wichita State - Creighton game.

Rebroadcasting in the middle of the day when most of us can't watch doesn't do a lot of good. Of all the series this is THE one that should definitely be televised.

Nice 2-1 win last night, it looks like Davies was sharp again. So far since he was bought up, he is 3-0 with a 1.46 era.
