There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Congrats MVJ. Was really nice here, as well, we just don't have all the white stuff you do. Temps of 70 degrees. Shorts and jersey. Got in 17.5 miles this afternoon. If there were 100 people milling about the bicycle paths downtown yesterday, there were 350 people out today. Legs felt a bit better than yesterday, but arms and shoulders still pretty tight. At 63 miles for the month, maybe there's still a chance I can get to 100, or even 125 for the month.

Once I got past the enema from the ice cold water shooting off my back tire right up my ass, the ride was great! There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. It was a great day to ride yesterday. Spin class, Pilates class, and about 13 on the bike in the afternoon. Tried to ride the gravel on the Redbud. That’s a big no-go. It’s all mud. Still getting in 3-4 cycling classes a week, so I hope I haven’t lost too much.

Haven't posted in a while but the weather has been conducive to getting outdoor miles in - or out, whatever. Close to 100 miles just in the last week. Wife went a few times, legs were not good for her. Getting pretty good for me pretty quick. Couple of weekend rides, touring Delano and parts of West Wichita (including Friends U). Looks like the Empire is in town in the building shot on campus. Lots river riding and out to the zoo a few times this week from work, and even biked home one evening. Hope everyone is well..

Pretty good bicycling weather. Cut today's ride kind of short. Upon leaving for my ride, I was almost blown down to the cement by a wind gust unlike anything I've ever experienced on a bike. But overall, been bicycling daily because of the good weather. Long ride on Saturday with the wife, and she was sore on Sunday. (jokes appreciated) Just short of 140 miles 9 days into the month. Checked the weather when I got back. Reportedly 35 mph sustained wind with gusts to 53.
Wasn't quite this windy, but when the gust hit, kind of sums up the general feeling (what am I doing out here today?).

I hope you guys are headed to Newton or McPherson today and ride back in a car.An “Old West” Texas analysis and summary of Mueller report and Congress’ efforts in one sentence:
"While we recognize that the subject did not actually steal any horses, he is obviously guilty of trying to resist being hanged for it."

Anyone else bicycling outdoors? Weather has been pretty nice minus the couple of days of rain that we had. Up to 212 miles for the month. For the downtown bike path riders, Harry Street bridge is finally complete and they appear close to opening the bike path underneath. And some of the schools must be on spring break as there were lots of younger type people out this afternoon. One of the days I was bicycling last week there was a lot of activity at the new ballpark, are they getting ready to start with ball games? Hope everyone is well.

Damn, I leave for a month and this place goes to hell! I've been rehabbing, don't even know how soon I will be able to ride a bike again. I think it's related to my knees.
On the positive side, I've been walking about 10K steps a day, so at least I'm not gaining weight yet.
MIGHT get out this weekend. Not expecting much, knees do feel a little better, I'm due for my Suparz. Looks like unless they see something when they x-ray (and I think they might) I should get through this year.
Main thing was i got through the pandemic. Thanks , everybody, for your support.
