Had a friend who's been vaxxed (no booster), and infected twice previously catch the alien seed again last week. Pretty strong cold symptoms that have lasted a week now: upper chest discomfort, headache, severe fatigue, ear pressure, swollen tonsils, body aches, runny nose, voice gone, etc. No fever. Really surprised to hear that many symptoms with her prior experience with Das Alien. But she was likely very low on neutralizing antibodies at this point. The booster GREATLY enhances said antibodies providing for a very fast recovery to no infection at all. When you have to rely on your cellular immunity, you're going to feel some discomfort.

Another friend also got the OmIcRoN last week and went to the ER. Fever was almost 103F. She had only the first of two vaccine shots completed (had I known this I would have put on the pressure).

Both individuals are relatively young and in perfect health. This "cold virus" is going to slap the **** out of some unvaccinated folk that have yet to experience The Plague. And you better believe we're ALL going to get our turn over the next 30 days... Get. The. Booster if you want to be cool and smart like me. Well... at least you have a chance at being cool....

Ah yes the power of anecdotal evidence and survivorship bias never ceases to amaze me...where have I heard that before...

Here is a coherent critique on vaccine passports, mask mandates, vaccine mandates and the like. No this Doctor is not a COVID denier, but looks at the situation very practically evaluating what actually works vs what makes someone feel good. He also addresses therapeutics, ventilation, vaccines for kids etc.

"I don’t want to sound callous. I don’t want anyone to die or suffer from Covid-19 unnecessarily. But I do think we are over-rating the benefits of our marginally-useful public health interventions, and underestimating their true costs. It’s hard to know what will come next in this pandemic; if Omicron will indeed prove milder and stay a while, or whether France will export its new B.1.640.2 variant, or if something new and different comes along. At some point, we are likely to need a central disease response that inspires confidence.

The U.S. has become a nation divided. To the red states, the blues are oppressive; to the blue states, the reds are reckless. Everyone is angry at the CDC, for either being too easy on Covid-19 transmission or too hard on society. Accelerating the geographic clumping of our populace by political belief is a destructive force — socially, politically, and economically.

I don’t know if the problem is fixable. I do think we should do what we can to slow the process, by only moving to limit personal freedoms when there is convincing evidence of necessity. A softer approach to managing the pandemic might cost little in terms of lives and suffering, but save greatly in terms of our ability to function as a nation."

Covid-19 hospitalizations reached a record high of more than 142,000 about a year ago, on January 14, 2021, and last topped 100,000 on September 11. The total fell to about 45,000 hospitalizations in early November, but increased steadily since then, and surged in the last week. Just last Monday, HHS reported 71,000 Covid-19 hospitalizations.

We are on a very unfortunate path. I sure wish more people would have gotten jabbed. Senseless and needless death and suffering.

Even if you were 100% right about everything since day 1 (and you aren't but I teed that one up for you, you're welcome) this is where we're at today:

You can wish everyone got jabbed.

You can wish everyone ate healthy and so many of us weren't obese.

You can wish people didn't abuse drugs, smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol to abuse.

You can wish people drove safely.

You can wish we didn't have gangs and mobs and thieves and people who abuse children.

But none of things are going to happen everywhere because we live (at least today) in a free society. And that means, unfortunately, some have the freedom to make bad decisions.

You and all your perfect and brilliant friends, experts and doctors etc can keep sounding the jab bell all you want. It's really not going to make that much difference. There are people out there that just aren't going to get jabbed. Over 91% over 40 are jabbed. And I would even argue that SOME of these stubborn few holdouts might even decide to get jabbed if you left them alone and they stopped feeling pushed (since you've never been a parent, I can see where this kind of manipulation eludes you).

The fear porn forced on society by the media and politicians and water carriers like you cause more problems now than they solve. It's a waste of time, energy & resources. We now have experts and media trying to tell people to not use the hospital for testing etc. The stupidity seriously has no bounds.

We should be focusing and spending all our resources on treating the ill and proactively being able to treat the next wave of illness. We should have ramped up antibody treatment supplies and locations months ago. This has been a COMPLETE failure at the Federal level.

But keep pushing lies about pediatric hospitalizations WITH Covid instead of because of Covid. Keep fear mongering....it's worked SO well to date.
