Yes, although traditionally you would apply for the MRS as soon as you determined it is a season ending injury.

Apparently, that was not done yet. I have no idea whether or not the delay in filing for the MRS is of any significance.

Hopefully, this will get taken care of in due course and Morgan will have 3 full years as a Shocker.

    • Does anyone know if we are going to sign anymore recruits. If not Jane will be yelling again that we dont have enough bodies. I am not sure what to think about all these defections and recruiting numbers

And of course there are 4 other players who have commited to play here, but will not be here yet
How about the male practice players? Are they "staying" (i.e. continueing to practice with the team) or not? If I recall correctly, some of them were football/basketball players in high school and are not terrible basketball players.
Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

                    • is the 'val to obu' story true? if so, that might be an indicator of the talent level of these last 2 girls to leave...tranferring WAAAAY down.

                      wish them both luck...nice kids.

I, for one, will be checking in next winter to see how both Val and Jacie are doing. Like you said, from all appearances, nice kids.

                        • I don't believe where they transferred to tells us anything that we already didn't know about their talent level. "WAAAAY down"?? A player doesn't have a lot of choices if they're leaving a second division womens MVC team (unless they're too good for that team).

Both are juniors and probably do not want to sit out a year (or can't) to stay at D1. They also probably wanted to be fairly close to home and in Val's case OBU seems to be a good program. By the way, that's where AJ Hawkins enrolled.

Best of luck to two gals that at least stuck around, when others did not, and gave us their best!!

I have to agree with ShockTalk on this one. I don't think where these young ladies transferred to really tells you that much about there talent level because of the factors ShockTalk pointed out. Nor do I necessariy buy the statement in Jacie's case that FHS is a step WAY down considering where WSU's program is and has been in recent years.

Jacie is a good athlete that could do very well at FHS and her game still has lots of potential for growth.

I don't know anything about OBU's program, but Val was certainly a very good shooter, although maybe not athletic or strong enough to create her own shot and perhaps Jodie's system was not really a good fit for her.

Both young ladies always seemed to give it everything they had.

I wish both young ladies well, hope they are happy with there new teams and hope they are successful in completing their college educations.
