Shocks drop a winnable game to Memphis on the road 61 -54.

Shocks shot only 34% from the field (27% in the 2nd half), shot 5-18 (27.3%) from behind the arc and topped that off with a 9-15 (60%) effort from the line (and that was with March draining 8-9).

According to the Eagle's account of the game Jody said she was getting nothing from her bench and in fact she didn't. However, she only played the bench a total of 19 minutes with Haleigh getting 9 of those and Jadhon not palying at all. The starters played 34, 35, 37, 37 and 38 minutes and apparently ran out of gas. At this point it appears Jody has lost confidence in her bench. Unfortunately, I don't think she has much choice but to play them more minutes to avoid having a very leg weary starting team down the road.

Memphis actually shot the ball a little worse than the Shocks overall but had 7 more attempts from the field and shot 10 more free throws because they won the rebound battle by 53-37 and turned the ball over 3 times less than the Shocks.

It will be interesting to see how the Shocks legs hold up tonight at 5:00 vs Jacksonville State. Surely, Jody will have to use the bench much more tonight that she did last night.

Shocks need to win this one before had back home for 7 straight games in Koch Arena.

The internet feed is WAT TOO QUIET and has an annoying hum.

They've also been running commercials OVER the game. I don't know what the hell is wrong with these people.

I'm not even sure what's going on in the game at this point.

I'm glad I am not the only one having problems with the sound quality of the broadcast. In fact, the only way I could hear anything was to go with ear phones. Still not great quality and the hum is annoying.

Shocks up on Jacksonville State 41-25 with around 16 minutes to play.

I lost the connection a little while ago and restarted the computer hoping for improvement.

Does Marcy have or is she close to another double double?

Marcy was in foul trouble in the 1st half and I think she only had 4 points at half. I'm not exactly sure where she is at this point.

Shocks lead down to 16 at 48 - 32. Marcy coming back into game.

Around the mid-point of the 2nd half.

I think what Jody has done even 6 games in with this bunch is nothing short of remarkable.

I believe she has already changed everything about women's basketball and the future is white hot bright.

IF they can stay healthy, I'm not certain what the ceiling is in what appears to be a down year in the Valley.

Just heard Marcy has 8 and 3 in limited minutes.

I guess it had to come to an end at some point.

                        Shocks win 65 - 45.

Sounds like decent play off the bench tonight.
