I think what Jody has done even 6 games in with this bunch is nothing short of remarkable.
I believe she has already changed everything about women's basketball and the future is white hot bright.
It is amazing what a coach who can motivate players and teach fundamentals can do - even with a seriously short bench. It completely escapes me how Jane Albright was allowed to drag the program into the depths for so long.
Bright future, indeed. WSU's Women's program can make noise in the Valley in 2-3 seasons, I'll bet.

Haliegh Lankster with a very nice line coming off the bench:
6-11 from the field including 1-2 three pointers for 13 points, 4 rebounds, 6 steals, 2 assists and 0 turnovers in 16 minutes of play.
Val Siemens knocked down 4 of 6 treys, but was only 1 of 6 inside the arc, to lead the scoring attack with 14 points.
The bench contributed 60 minutes tonight (vs 19 last night vs Memphis) and contributed 19 points.
Of note is that, despite early foul trouble for Marcy who only played 19 minutes, Sam Smith did not play at all. I am a little surprised that Sam would not play at all in a 20 point game. Not sure what the story is with Sam. I thought she might challenge Marcy for the starting center position this year, but that has not been the case at all.
Talked to some Tennessee fans and mentioned Jody Adams was our womens coach and all three of them remembered her and said we were lucky to have her. Said from her playing days from what they remembered was you wouldn't want to not play as hard as she did for fear she might slug you in the mouth. I told them she was off to a good start and had a good recruiting class coming in next year which didn't surprise them at all.
