Taylor Eldridge with a very nice report on what might be Taryn's final round as a collegian:

"It's the best day of my life, without a doubt," Torgerson said in a phone interview. "It was a bittersweet feeling walking off of that green, but I couldn't imagine a better way to go out."
"Coach gave me a shot four years ago to be a Division I golfer and now here we are today, a two-time conference champion," Torgerson said. "And then to have my teammates storm the green to celebrate with me, that was just incredible. It's a moment I'll never forget."

Shocker Senior and 2018 AAC Medalist Taryn Torgerson was not selected to participate as an individual in the 2018 NCAA D-1 Women's Golf Championship.

Houston and ECU will represent the AAC. Houston is the 7th seed and ECU is the 12th seed both at the Austin Regional.

The NCAA Division I Women's Golf Committee has announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2018 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Regionals.

I don't think Taryn's exclusion is a big surprise considering the parameters for selection that she failed to meet in terms of rounds played due to what I assume was either injury or illness.

But she certainly ended her career on a high note with her closing and record-setting 64 and playoff win in the AAC Championships. Going to be tough to replace her power and skill level.
