Eric seemed to let things go that might have got Jody fired, but she was winning.

That's because when all of these problems started in 2009 Eric was far more focused on firing Gene Stephenson.. Then when it happened again in 2013? Beggs was in the process of stepping down Eric was more concerned about his own job security than firing than firing troubled coaches.

Whether recruiting and transfers have become a problem or Jody can't change, it seems like everyone needs a fresh start.

VERY good...but also with some NJCAA baggage a couple years ago, causing him to lose scholarships, IIRC.

Sad, but it seems like we may be about to pay the price for kicking the can down the road 2 years ago.

Guessing they'll be very careful to make sure they can terminate for cause for leverage purposes when negotiating the resignation. 2 years left on that buyout is better than 4, but it's still a lot of $$$ for a starving program that was already at its payroll ceiling.

From what I recall there were recruiting violations - two players received more grants-in-aid than they should have - resulting in a ban from post-season play and loss of scholarships. HCC appealed and won a portion of it, having the post-season ban lifted.

Shame after the success she had... she continued down the wrong path. Winning cures a lot of things, but not everything. She will be gone after this year. It just depends on if she steps down or they let her go with cause and walk away from her contract.

There are quite a few coaches that I feel would adequately replace Jody Adams, who I've never been a fan of. Lane Lord at Pitt State would be my #1 choice. After him, you've got Jory Collins at Emporia State, John Ontjes at Hutch, Toby Wynn at Seward, and even Antwain Scales at South. Unfortunately, Scales and Ontjes come with some baggage, but you couldn't go wrong with any of the choices IMO. I think we're all of the consensus that Jody needs to be shown the door, and quickly. She has long worn out her welcome here.

I refer you to this 2014 post by @_kai_: from just the type of thread you claim were getting deleted.

There is also a 26 page thread several pages deep from the last go-round which discusses the many allegations.

The posting guidelines have stated for years that until rumors regarding coaches and players are made public through more official sources than an internet message board, they are subject to removal.

For the record, I thought Adams should have been fired in 2015 and I have not followed the program since, as a result.
