When do they have pick up?

I did ask and not one player seems to know about Anna. Of course, who am I, just a fan who walks at Koch Arena. They typically play in the evenings, around 7:00 p.m. It is hit and miss and only if I see people who open the door so I can walk. Not very sophisticated. I'm not following very closely. My first impression; it is our returners who will carry the load and they all need to stay healthy.

Saw Anna myself while walking Koch and didn't ask because she was busy talking with her translator. But I guess we all will soon see

Pick up games

Mumdaddy, there are no pick up games by either the WSU men's or women's basketball teams this week because of the volleyball camps. I found this out by calling both the men's & women's basketball offices last week. However, it seems likely the pickup games will resume next week.

I was told "pick up" is for anyone. Even this 6-5 very old body. No thanks. Those young girls would hurt me. I wonder if Jody or Bridgette ever run with them. Jody might struggle as a guard, but Bridgette is still a beast; I hope.

I was not anticipating that Jaylyn would become a Shocker but at least Jody is making an effort to get some local talent. Not the easiest thing in the world to entice local kids to stay home for college.

I agree 72,was a good try though on Coach Adams and staffs part. Either way excited for the season and also curious on who we are recruiting heavy for our 2015 class

This is off topic, but since this is a misc. WBB thread I think it is OK. It seems to me that the WBB program should have its own ShockerNet forum like Volleyball instead of being in with the women's sports forum. I think that the program has achieved enough success and following to have its own forum. Thoughts?

I agree, though we typically are not bombarded with posts; sometimes during the season. I believe we're in for another MVC title and hopefully a decent bid in the NCAA's.

I think that Coach Jody Adams has done a tremendous job of raising the profile of the program. So, let's raise the profile of Shocker WBB here on ShockerNet. Seems like a good thing to do.

In the past, the response has been that when the number of posts justifies it, a separate forum is created. The Admins make the decision when the number is sufficient.
