Casey Williams goes BIG FLY for a 3 run dinger in the top of the 7th!!!!! NO DOUBTER! 5-3 Shocks and still no outs.

Single and an error and the Shocks have something else working, still no outs!

A walk and a sacrifice bunt and the Shocks have 2nd and 3rd with 1 out. Getting another home would be huge here.

Basehit! 1st and 3rd, one out and it's now 6-3.

Jeagers with a sac fly and it's 7-3 (very loud out by the way).

If the Shocks can hang on to win this game and one more game Cacy Williams, the sophomore transfer from Emporia State, may very well be the 2014 MVC Softball POY.

Cool beans! 7-3 Shocks win! Katie Malone shut the Redbirds down in the 7th and the Shocks are 1 win away from what would be their first conference championship.

          Go get 'em ladies!

And Jenni starts the second game. I wondered if that might happen. @1972Shocker: called it.

Holy cow! Yes it's still very early but the Shocks are batting around in the 2nd. 5-0 going to the bottom of the 2nd, and it really could have been a lot worse.

ISU is kind of melting down right now. Take this ladies!

I'm sure Sloan is at the ready just in case. However, Jenni was very good last Sunday in relief in the HUGE win over SIU. Let's hope that continues.

                Go Shocks!

Jenni will allow some baserunners. But she is a competitor so we'll see how it goes.

Jenni can keep you on the edge of your seat. She has stranded 8 runners in the 1st three innings but has somehow kept the Redbirds scoreless.

Oh well, I don't really use my finger nails that much.

Back-to-back singles for the Redbirds leading off the 4th. Perhaps it's time to change it up and bring Sloan in with Katie at the ready. Don't want this opportunity to get away from us. Jenni has been playing with dynamite.

Jenni Houdini indeed. Jenni gets a fly ball to LF then a line to drive to Kelli at SS who doubled the runner off 1st. Whew! We move on.

Illinois State finally got to Jenni getting a 2-run home to start the bottom half of the 5th. HCKB may have rolled the dice just a little bit to far with Jenni but you still have to fill pretty good with her leaving the game with a 5-2 lead. HCKB goes back to Katie to try to finish this off. 9 more outs needed.

Katie gives up a double to the 1st batter she faced in the 5th.

It seems clear that, for whatever reason, HCKB has lost confidence in Sloan.
