In the 100M hurdles the Shocks probably hoped to qualify Nikki Larch-Miller and Shanice Andrews.

The bad new is that Shanice did not qualify. The good news is that Nikki's twin sister did qualify at 0.01 second faster than Nikki.

Indiana State gets 2 into the finals of the 400. That hurts as they probably expected none. WSU didn't expect to get anyone there, and they met their expectations.

As expected, Katie wise leads the way for 2 Trees to get to the finals of the 100 but another pleasant surprise from Taylor Larch-Miller as she joins Shamoya Pruitt in the finals. Perhaps a small boost for the ladies.

With all the points they are going to score, this team could be renamed the Wichita State Larch-Millers before it's all said and done. How does Bolt get these stud twins from Cali to come to the heartland?

Shocks qualify 2, Shamoya Pruitt and somewhat surprisingly Taylor Larch-Miller, in the 100M dash. Taylor did not even have a seed time available in this event.

Neither ISU nor WSU expected to get anyone to the 800 final and they both did not. No blood in the 800.

Shocks put 4 instead of the expected 3 in the 400H final. Indiana State as expected gets 1.

Nice result in the 400H for the Lady Shocks as they advance 4 runners into the 8-place finals led by Natalie Morerod.

Taylor Thomas, Nora Zajovics and Cassidy Downing are joining Natalie in the finals.

The video coverage is flipping worthless. I don't even know why they bother. I think WSU had 2 finish in the top 8 of the Steeplechase but I don't know for sure.

I HIGHLY suggest tuning in the live feed and watching Ashley Petersen for WSU in the high jump.

I take back what I said about the video feed being worthless.

Awaiting the results, but based on only seeing Ashley jump I'm 100% certain she won the event. Lots of other Shocks and Trees in the event....the tote here will be important.

Pretty impressive steeplechase for the women where 4 girls went under Kellen Johnson's meet record of 10:23 and change.

Freshman Sidney Hirsch and sophomore Kayla Deighan finished 6th and 7th for WSU and Indiana State was shut out of the points.

Indiana State outscored WSU 14-11 in the high jump. Certainly NOT the point total the Shocks were looking for here.

Mixed results for the women today. Certainly they are still within shouting distance of ISU tomorrow, but it might just be a bit too much to overcome now.

Yeah, I have to believe that Indiana State is thrilled with that result in the high jump. That is for sure not good for the Shockers chances.

They are off and running at ISU today. Huge result with ISU dropping the stick in the 4X100 as the favorite or 2nd favorites. WSU finishes 2nd and picks up at least 8 points projected on ISU.

Huge race about to start with the 100H. GO LARCH-MILLERS!

Shockers finished second in the 4x100 relay but got a huge break, and conversely Indiana State (the heavy favorite in this event) a huge bad break, when the Sycamores did not finish. I'm not sure what happened but that suggests perhaps a dropped baton on an exchange.
