Looks like they may have window of opportunity between 10:00 and 3:00 to get play in without rain. The temperature will be around 44 (wind chill of 38) at 10:00 dropping to 40 (wind chill of 32) by 3:00.

Obviously today's round becomes a real mental challenge battling a tough, wet course and perhaps even tougher weather conditions.

Good Luck, Lady Shocks. Definitely going to have to #PlayAngry today.

Of the leaders WSU, SIU and MSU will have the toughest starting holes. They are starting on holes 1 thru 4 that have a combined handicap rating of 28 (hole No. 1 counted twice since two groups start in No. 1).

BU, ILS and INS start on holes 5 thru 9 with a combined handicap rating of 70. OTOH, these groups have a tough finsih as their final 8 holes (15 - 18 and 1 - 4) are rated the 8 toughest on the course for women.

They have started and SIU has taken a 1 stroke lead. Sarah Gliber is +1 after 1 hole (3rd) and Hannah Martin is +1 after 2 holes (2 and 3)

'72 is right. This is going to be a battle of who has the best mindset. The strongest team, mentally, will emerge on top.

          Good luck Shocks!

Meghan off to a double-bogey, bogey start.

Sarah Gilbert is +5 over her 1st four holes.

Can only afford a bad day from one player.

Meghan's double on the par 5 she started on didn't do us any favors, but with 2 players not being scored yet, it might change in a bit.

Scores will move around a lot today. Consistency will help.

Reporting of scores with this shot-gun start looks like they are going to be very lumpy or clumpy today and so we may see some wild swings on the leaderboard.

Talk about tough days one of the Drake players is 12-over on her 1st 5 holes.

Yep. Our girls are also really struggling out of the gates. We need Hannah to play lights out and give us at least 1 good score we could count on. Alas, she's started bogey, par, triple, double, par. More than even bogey out of our #1 probably isn't going to get it done.

Ouch! Hannah goes triple-bogey and double-bogey on holes 4 and 5. Those holes have ate her lunch that last two rounds as she is a combined 10-over on those two holes the last 2 rounds.

Looks like they are recording scores when they finish the 6th hole.

Perhaps after every 3rd hole. 3,6,9,12,15 and 18.

6 shots separate 1 from 5. Bradley currently leads. The Shocks are 2 back.

With all players having played at least six holes, SIU has stretched their lead to four shots. Their worst three scores are +3, +6 and +7, while the Shockers are +7, +7 and +9. Bryce Schroeder is having another outstanding day, E through six holes.

Hollie blew up with triple-bogies on 7 and on 9. Simply have to avoid those big numbers. No. 7 rated the easiest hole on the course making that triple double tough.
