MVC Women's Golf Championship

8 players went +10 or better today. 3 of those golfers were Redbirds. IL State's round 3 score was a 327, second was BU with a 337, third was WSU with a 338. Nothing you can do about that, if the Redbirds were human today our ladies would have brought it home. The ladies did everything right, just ran into a buzz saw.

Hopefully the all sports trophy finds its way home again.

Shocks are pretty darn good shape with 5 championships to be determined. Men's golf should bring home a championship.

Not quite sure how the track and field teams shake out this year but I would expect two top 3 performances at a minimum.

As Doc said softball will probably put up a big number (low finish) and who knows how baseball will shake out. Could be anywhere from 1st to 5th at this point. Almost impossible to predict how that team will close the Valley race, but at least they have given themselves a chance to finish well.

Way to play tough this week ladies. The future looks bright.

Coach McCurdy takes a page out of Coach Jones' book and signs a couple of international players for next year.

So far I like the looks of this recruiting class. This past November the Shocks signed Samantha Stewart.

Next year's roster looks like it will be made up mostly Freshmen and Sophomores with the one Junior (Alejandra Arellano, from Orizaba, Mexico via Seminole State Juco). However, looks like some pretty decent talent for Coach McCurdy to work with.
