Kind of feel USF deserves to lose simply because they have Los Toros on their uniforms today. SMH

USF is missing a ton of bunnies and that won't last, but man WSU is getting pushed around with little or no calls.

Shocks staying hot and hitting 3s. But to be fair, their defense is really active so far and they are playing very very hard.

NBD shooting 2 to extend the Shocker lead. Brock Rodden's GF makes them both and it's 27-13 Shocks 3:20 to go 2nd quarter.

Shocks get a takeaway. DAMN. Jane made a GREAT interior pass for an easy unmolested layup. Missed. USF turns it into a bucket at the other end. That hurts and kind of feels like a turning point.

I'm wrong, so far at least. Shocks get another 3 and a stop. 30-15. Terrible shot selection with 15 on the shot clock. Just have to be better when leading.

Tripping foul on Jane. No real foul problems (Jane's first). Basket USF.

Shocks need to run clock and completely limit USF to 1 or 2 possessions the rest of the quarter.

1:15 left Jane shooting FTs. Make. Make. 32-17.

USF gets 3 offensive rebounds and turn it into a 3. Shocks can't hold for 1. Colbert misses a short shot and Jane gets her 2nd foul. Ugh.

32-20. USF gets the last shot. Airball. 32-20 led the entire half. That's a great half of effort, combined with making shots and USF missing. Still, a 12 point lead is impressive.

I thought Jane was disrespected a little by only being named to the 3rd team. And perhaps even Trajata was little undervalued as well. But the teams record and poor non-con schedule probably had an impact on that.

However, both Jane and Trajata averaged double-doubles over the final 10 regulars season AAC games. Not to mention that Trajata is one of the best free throw shooters in the AAC and no doubt the best among post players. That's pretty impressive to have 2 players average a double-double over that many games.

I have no real evidence, but like the men's team I believe the LadyShocks have improved quite a bit during the year.and I'm thinking having Jim LIttel on the bench has contributed significantly to that.

Shocks now leading 25-13 with 3:35 to play in the 1st half. As you say, hard to be confident this will continue but who knows.

USF is in the NCAA tournament one way or the other. An upset is the only was the AAC gets a 2nd team. I would love to see the Lady Shocks be the ones that steal a bid.

Make that 30-15 with 2 minutes to play.

A late 3 pointer from USF makes it 32-20 at the half. Hated to see Jane pick up that 2nd foul on a rebound on the Shockers end with 13 seconds to play.

I haven't been able to watch the game but has to be the Shocks best half of basketball of the year. Still I am not all that confident that the Shocks can hold on for 20 more minutes. But I no way expected a double digit lead at the half either.

Can't imagine it going much better than that for the Ladyshocks.

Can we just call game now?

I was able to attend yesterday's game. Wasn't able to go today. Plus I didn't expect this so I figured I wouldn't miss much. Guess I was wrong!!

I don't know if they will win, but a lot to be proud of today thus far.

Props to Brock. She's a cutie.

You know things went pretty well for the Shocks when Ambuh Kowcun is 0-2 from 3 with the rest of the team 3-4 including 1-1 by Jane.

I have no doubt USF will be making some adjustments during the halftime break. So it will be interesting to see how the Shocks deal with that.

Also, will the Shocks legs hold up through the 2nd half. Big advantage for USF not having to play yesterday.

11-0 run and not by us. Poor start to the 2nd half

Yeah, not too surprising. Just have to see if the Ladyshocks can dig in and hold on. Not holding my breath, but would be great if they could find a way.

One sign the Shocks legs may be going is USF is outrebounding the Shocks 9-2 so far in the 2nd half.

Looks like Trajata is struggling against the bigger DFM.

They withstood that run. I agree, they look tired though

Well done ladies. 1 more quarter. Dig deep and advance!

Actually a pretty good response by the Shocks to extend their lead from 2 backup to 8 by the end of the quarter.

Well that was a little lucky. 46-38 after 3.

Now you have a chance. Get water and a blow, take EVERY single advantage you can and give 10 minutes of max effort. Every miss fly back. Every rebound is yours, EVERY loose ball is yours. Play your guts out and bring this one home Shocks!

I'm not watching but just going by the stats and the fact that you would probably expect that after playing yesterday.

3 timeouts plus the media timeout. Do NOT let them get a run started. STOP every single run with a timeout if needed. No reason to save a damned thing.
