I know there's a girl at Andover (Bailey Way) who was recently offered by Iowa. One of the best all around players I've personally seen in the area recently. She plays for Texas Glory as well. She's class of '22 and I have no idea if the staff has evaluated her or not. Maybe she's a notch below what KB looks for, I'm obviously not a talent evaluator for softball, but do watch a lot of it.

Pitcher! She finishes her high school career with more than 400 strikeouts and a .69 ERA. Sounds intriguing but high school stats especially in a sport like softball can be misleading depending on the quality of competition faced. Usually, the numbers form players' summer travelling teams are more indicative of what they may be bring to the table.

That is an interesting and unusual secondary sport especially for a player listed at 5-9 and 160 lbs but IMHO opinion indicates some positive physical attributes for this player. Flexibility, balance and strength come to mind. Not to mention that she my be able to switch hit. Shows that in her batting practice video. Looks pretty comfortable from both sides of the plate but not exactly facing real pitching. I'm guessing a natural right handed hitter. Hard to know whether she can do that at the D-1 level or not. Switch hitters seem to be pretty rare in softball. In any case, definitely looks like a quality prospect.

Same with baseball although Jace has turned out pretty good so far.
