Hopefully, all you great Shocker fans are getting your $3 tickets ordered.

I checked with the ticket office and the cutoff for purchasing $3 tickets is 5:00 pm on Friday.

Looking forward to a great match. I am anticipating that Hoop, S-Mac, Emily and Camri will conitinue their strong play of recent weeks. The key to the match may be how well Jackie, Waldo, Elizabeth and Amanda play.

FREE volleyballs handed out to the first 2,500 fans. I think the Kids Zone opens at 6:00 in the All-Purpose Center.

Shocker Maniacs will get double points for attending this match -- sure would be great to see a large student turnout for this one.

Shocks 13th nationally in attendance at 2,130 per match. Time to give that number a big boost.

Sadly I can't make it. Have way too much going on this weekend starting Friday. I'm bummed about it but hope there's a large turnout. It's too bad our attendance has slipped out of the Top 10 this year.

I think scheduling this on Saturday night would have been better but they generally don't ask me my opinion.

I think Lambo likes the Friday matches on these single-match weekends so he can give the Ladies a weekend off during the season.

I wish that were the case...my family is still threatening to draw and quarter me over not going to Hawaii.

Missouri State has been playing mostly a 6-2 offense this year with Melissa Gmur (Sr) and Carly Thomas (Fr) sharing the setting duties, including in their 4 set win over the Shocks in Springield earlier this season.

Last weekend they played a 6-2 in their 0-3 loss to ILS and then switched to a 5-1 the next night in their 3-0 sweep of INS in which Gmur did not play.

This could be due to the following:

1. Gmur was injured and could not play.

2. MSU has decided to switch to the 5-1 at this point with Freshman Carly Thomas as their #1 setter.

3. Coach Stokes wanted to throw Lambo a curve before this weekend's big match.

I have not read anything in the match write-ups or match notes about Gmur being hurt although she could be.

My guess is that it is either #1 or #3. I'm guessing #3. Either way I suppose Lambo will have to prepare his team for either possibility unless he knows for sure Gmur is injured.
