Shocks drop Set 1 by a 22-25 score. Positives were Emily Adney and Sarah McGee. Otherwise, generally sounds like Pitt simply outplayed the Shocks in most areas.

Stephaine Tokarz did not play in Set 1, but is in for Set 2.

Hopefully, they are now fully engaged.

Another overpass by the Shocks. Pitt up 3-0 to start Set 2.

Shocks need to find their game.

Obviously this is not a morning team.

Shocks have won a couple of long rallies, so hopefully the blood is starting to fully circulate in the noggins.

          Shocks 17 - Pitt 13. Pitt timeout.

Shocks had a 20-16 lead that quickly has shrunk to 20-19.

Shocker timeout. It is imperative that the Shocks not let this set get away.

              Pitt on a 6-0 run to take a 22-20 lead. :(

No to take anything away from Pitt but it sounds like the Shocks are just not playing very well at all. A lot of poor passes and are having difficulty putting kills away.

Shocks with a service error on match point to drop Set 2 by 23-25 to go down 2-0 and are in big, big trouble as they are being outplayed by Pitt.

If the Shocks drop this match they could easily come home with a 1-2 record as Louisville tomorrow is a stronger opponent than Pitt.

Hopefully, Lambo can come up something to get the Shocks going but he can't make the plays. It comes down to how the players will perform after the break.

A team with this much experience should not be having the simple mistakes they are having right now.

                  Let's go ladies!

                        • UMKC is better than that. I am better than that.

                          • Count me in the group that didn't think this teamroup was capable of play this poorly.

Count on not being ranked for the rest of the year. Any hopes of an at large, deserved or not, have been dealt a serious blow.

It's still kind of funny to me how thin the line is when you are WSU.

                            • :( Shocks swept.

Shocks may be missing Lindsey's consistency today, but more than that I think this is the kind of match where Kelly Broussard's graduation is being felt. Kelly would simply not allow the Shocks to perform like this.

I suppose it is better to get a match like this out of the way sooner than later. But it does make you wonder what we really have as a team this year. A lot of work to do it appears.

It will be interesting to see how they come back from this performance against Louisville tomorrow, but this can't be good for the confidence.

I was thinking the same thing. In fact I was making a comparison in my head to the 06-07 basketball team that missed Paul Miller more than anyone thought.....and we all know how that turned out.
