Lambo says Miami does some different things they don't often see and are a hard scout. He mentioned they run a double slide which is is about concerned about defending because it's something they don't generally see or have to deal with.
Shocks rallly to take a 12-9 lead behind Chase Jackson. Still this match just doesn't have a great feel to it. Shocks just seem to be a bit out of sync (when Emily hits two serves into the net in less than half a set you know you are a bit out of sync).
A kill by Emily to save a potential overpass by Giorgia, a Abbie/Emily Block and a Tabitha kill put the the Shocks up 16-12 and Miami takes a tiime out.
A Chase Jackson kill, her 4th in 5 swings in this set, puts the Shocks up 21-15 and Miami uses their final time out.
Set 2 belongs to the Shocks 25-16. Some nice work from freshman Chase Jackson and Brooke Smith in that set.
Shocks hit .448 for the set to .187 (or something like that) for Miami. The Shocks had 4 blocks Set 2 after getting only 1 in Set 1.

Tabitha Brown with 24 kills breaks her career best set earlier today against Marquette. (24-6-45 = .400)
Mikaela Raudsepp had a good match with 14 kills. (14-3-34 = .324)
Brooke Smith was 7-0-14 = .500 and fellow freshman Chase Jackson was 5-2-12 = .250.
Emily was 6-2-9 = .444 with 47 assists, 8 digs and 3 block assists. Emily did have 3 service errors which is extremely rare for her.
Abbie chipped in with a 9-3-22 = .273 hitting line plus 2 solo blocks and 4 block assists.
I guess we will have to catch Lambo's show on Monday to find out what he thought about this match. Even though it is Labor Day the schedule indicates their is a show at 6:30 pm.

Marquette beat IUPUI to close out the tournament 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-22, 25-16). And in what will be a surprise to no one Allie Barber and Jenna Rosenthal made the All-Tournament team.
