Wisconsin takes the first set from Illinois State 25-17. This feed is from BTN or one of its sub-channels. The commentators are light years ahead of what we heard last night.

The Badgers take the second set by a score of 25-19 for a 2-0 lead in the match.

At 17-17, Wisconsin pulls away for a 25-19 and 3-0 win. The Redbirds played well, but asking them to beat the #4 national seed on their home court was a tall order.

The Lady Redbirds have nothing to hang their head about for sure. The represented the Valley very well. Had a great year.

UALR is giving Kansas fits in Topeka with the match tied at 2-2. The Trojans are the fourth seed in the pod with KU being the #16 national seed.

Men's basketball should have moved to Topeka and let volleyball have the Field House - Florida is thumping the Jayhawks at this typing.

Seven of the eleven players on the Trojans are internationals - six from Bosnia-Herzegovina and one from Australia. A bunch of some kind of Slavic language in the chat box of the streaming video - now I understand why.

              Wow, what a match!!

              Oregon State 3-2 UALR

UALR was serving at 24-22 in the fourth set with a two-sets-to-one lead and again in the fifth set with a 14-12 lead. But the Beavers pull out the fifth set 19-17.

Really needs to be a Wichita Regional in the near future. Aside from what I would have to think would be really strong attendance from the city, a number of "localish" teams would travel well if they were to make it (Nebraska, ISU, UT come to mind).

Tournament Centrals for Ames and Seattle added - I think. Both are less obvious than the Minneapolis and Louisville sites.

Has Wichita ever submitted a bid on hosting a NCAA volleyball regional?

The semifinal matches can be seen tonight on ESPN2 beginning at 600pm. Texas v BYU is followed by Stanford v Penn State at 830pm. The finals are Saturday at 630pm, again on ESPN2. I have no idea if tickets are available, but these matches are just down the road in Oklahoma City.
