Hard not to be a little disappointed. Great season for 90% of it, hosting hopes, etc.

Then given the best draw we’ve ever had and maybe ever will have, get off to a solid start and then a performance like this.

This year was the chance. They don’t come around too often especially in women’s sports.

Yes, early in the season the top 5 hitters in the lineup were pretty much carrying the load and the Shocks were getting next to nothing from the bottom 4. Fortunately, that started to turn around to where thre bottom 4 were making some decent contributions.

Today, however, the top 5 went 1-5 with 5 strikeouts.while the bottom 4 were 4-11 plus a walk and only 2 strikeouts. That might be a first for this season.

As the old saying goes, good pitching will beat good hitting. OSU certainly has a pair of top-notch pitchers.

Hopefully, the Shocks can bounce back against Nebraska or UMBC tonight. Those teams are socreless after 2 at this point.

Syd hit two screamers right at the third basemen. Both were laced.

It was a weird game. OSU only had three really solid hits off of Aguilar but they made them count. The OSU pitcher was mixing it up incredibly well.
