22/25 Shocker SB at Memphis

The Shockers continue their conference schedule with games at Memphis on Thursday (6 pm), Friday (2 pm), and Saturday (noon). The normal conference weekend is moved up a day due to Easter.

Memphis, clearly the weak sister of the AAC, has a record of 6-29 and 1-5 in conference. The Tigers have played Houston and Tulsa with the lone win against Tulsa.

The two highest OPS belong to Kendall Lee (.845) and Aliana Zavala (.809 and team-leading four home runs). Almost all of the innings belong to Hallie Siems (ERA of 7.44 and WHIP of 1.69), Mikayla Hoschak (9.03 and 2.03), and Rylee Dugar (12.36 and 3.02). Sorry, but those are some ugly hitting and pitching numbers.

The Shocker pitching is now Lauren (2.36 and 1.11), Alison (2.89 and 1.49), and Alex (1.81 and 1.02). The Fab Five still have an OPS above 1.000 led by Sydney at 1.350. Taylor is now back above .900.

The Shocker RPI is not yet updated but should be later this morning.

Have to have a sweep this weekend for sure. Interested to see how the Houston/ECU series goes this weekend. I wouldn't be shocked if we went undefeated in conference the rest of the year but have to assume we lose one or maybe 2 somewhere. Excited to see them play.
