Kinda cool to see her as the poster girl for Team USA for this game though.

Three runs in the fifth were enough to hold off two runs in the Japanese seventh.

Go Shockers - Shocker Softball Dinner & Auction Set for Sept. 24

Wichita State softball will host its 2022 Leadoff to Shocker Softball Dinner and Auction Saturday, Sept. 24 in the Aetna Multi-Purpose Facility.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. beginning with a cocktail hour and silent auction, followed by the dinner, live auction and program.

Individual tickets are $45 and tables (8 tickets) are $300 and can be purchased online at GoShockers.com/Tickets or by calling the WSU Ticket Office at (316) 978-FANS.

Stroud's will be providing dinner for the event.
