By my count, we were 6-13 against tourney teams (Illinois, Minnesota, SDSU X2, UCF, USF wins, Nebraska X2, OSU X3, USF X3, UCF X2, Arkansas, Missouri State, Oklahoma)

Hard to believe Charlotte didn't get in before the TWELFTH SEC team (Texas A&M who clearly doesn't deserve to be in) or the SEVENTH BIG10 team (take your pick).

We can beat Oregon. They have good pitching but not overwhelming. They can hit but not a ton. They can run like crazy though (81-98 SB on the year). Lanie will have to be superb.

Sounds a little like UCF, UCF was 86-99 on the season in stolen bases, but with more power. 62 home runs on the season vs 356 for UCF.

BTW, I see that UCF is hosting a regional.

Temps should be relatively cool this weekend, with a good chance of some rain.

Thirty-two teams earned at-large bids to the 64-team field. Thirty of those spots went to schools from the SEC, ACC, Big 12, Pacific-12 and Big 10 conferences. Wichita State and USF from the American Athletic Conference grabbed the remaining two spots.

Thought this chart was pretty interesting. Compares Hitting on the X axis and Pitching on the Y axis for the NCAA tourney teams. Kinda shows OUs dominance overall... and our lack of pitching. AAC should just combine the pitching of USF with the hitting of WSU and they would have a title contender

The Shocker placement in the chart as compared to Oregon is interesting. But all of this is opposition-dependent, too.

There's a lot of wind today, blowing out at Bogle. If it keeps up until tonight, y'all will hit some bombs.

The forecasts showing the winds slowing down into the event hours. 5-10 mph during our game, which Wichitan's consider to be very calm conditions.

Hopefully, the Shocks will be able to get their game with Oregon in before the rains start. However, the rain this evening is supposed to be scattered so hopefully it stays away from the ballpark.

Saturday looks more challenging rain-wise, especially after noon.

UCF starts off its regional with a 6-0 whitewashing of Villanova.

                            RPI #58 McNeese 11 - RPI #19 Notre Dame 1.

USF playing Mississippi State in Florida State regional. USF uses their speed game to take a 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st. Alexis Johns led off with a single to left, stole 2nd, went to 3rd on an infield single and scored on a double steal. Stayed at 1-0 through the 5th.

MSU started their finesse pitcher and then went to their power pitcher who throws high 60's, low 70's in the 5th. In the top of the 6th USF gets a home run to right, a single and a home run to left and they lead 4-0. Both home runs on balls up around the shoulders but both well hit especially the one to left.

Corrick finishes off the 4-hit shut out by striking out the all-time SEC career home run leader with runners on 2nd and 3rd. I have seen Corrick sharper but she got it done. Corrick is not overpowering but she has a a variety of pitches, changes speeds well and usually has great command. She is a true pitcher not just a flame thrower.

Most likely USF will be facing the #2 national seed Florida State tomorrow.

                              Princeton 0-11(5) Arkansas

Mary Haff throws a two-hitter against Princeton. Danielle Gibson had a grand slam.

                                Shockers v Oregon

Maybe I will get to post the lineup and maybe not.

The ESPN+ viewers will probably have the best info.
