    Ugh again.

KB needs to find some pitching.

Oregon is good, remind me a lot of UCF, and they are hitting their stride at the right time. Doubt they beat Arkansas, but they might give them a tussle.

Pretty sure Erin threw more balls than strikes.

And a couple of those strikes landed over the left field wall..

Wouldn't be surprised if Cooper comes in to pitch the 5th.

One run in the bottom of the 5th by the Ducks ends the game.

          Update: That didn't take long.

            Pitching wasn't good.

Offense did a good job of working counts but failed to capitalize on it.

            That was rough.

I didn't think Caitlyn pitched all that poorly other than the one bad pitch on the 3-run home in the 2nd. Erin was just pretty bad. She simply does not have the stuff to pitch from behind in the count, especially against better teams. Erin's last 2 outings in the post-season are not ones she will fondly remember.

Shocks need to bounce back against Princeton tomorrow or whenever they are able to play. My guess is Alison will get the start against Princeton.

Good pitching always trumps good hitting.

These teams are starting to remind me of Creighton basketball. Good offense, no defense, NCAA one and done.

                ... No really, deuces.

Not sure, with the state of college softball being tilted to about 15 teams, that we can put the bar on a successful season much higher than getting to a regional and winning a game or two. Happy we are as good as we are graduating fine young ladies who represent the university so well. Realistically, the next step would require a lot of luck, major funding to help recruiting, and a lights out pitcher.

Women’s basketball is as bad if not worse than softball in breaking through the elite programs with any consistency.

As is Volleyball. The talent pool in women's sports is just not as deep as it is in men's sports and the top programs just cherry pick the top level talent.

In addition, volleyball pulls a lot of athletes that would otherwise play basketball out of that available pool of talent.

UCF in the 10th inning with Michigan ... UCFs pitcher is currently at 160 pitches for the game (she started the game).... in 100+ temperature .. impressive.

South Florida goes with Antionette Hill in the circle against Florida State today. She gives up 5 hits and a walk to the first 7 FSU batters she faces. Erin Poepping comes on in relief and allows 4 baserunners in the 5 batters she faces. Lexi Kopko comes in to get the final out of the inning. Florida State scores 7 in the top off the 1st. This game is over.

The Shocks will not get started at 3:30. Arkansas and Oregon are just finishing the 1st inning at 3:05. Shocks probably won't play until around 5 or so.

Actually, the Hogs and Ducks are in a rain delay in the 1st. Who knows when or if the Shocks will play today.

Texas A&M giving OU all they want. OU leads 3-2 heading into the 7th. OU sets the Aggies down in order in the 7th to advance to the regional finals.

Arkansas-Stanford is still in delay. The tarp is still on the field.

Same is true of Akansas - Oregon.
