Shocks take a 15-13 lead on a Taflinger service ace and SFA takes a tiimeout. Everytime the Shocks have had a 2 or 3 point lead the Shocks have immediately surrendered that lead. Hopefully, they can at least trade points the rest of this set.
Ouch. Not to take anything away from SFA as they were the better team this morning and deserved to win and will no doubt have a gaudy record this year but this one might sting a bit at selection Sunday time. It certainly, leaves very little room for error in AAC play. I suppose the Shocks could remedy this if they can get by North Texas tonight and then pul the upset of Cal Poly tomorrow.
Played a team that is better than their reputation and perhaps we are not.
If we individually can get just a little better, the team can get a lot better. But it goes the other way, too.
Tabitha did well; the middles did not.
Our serve-receive is not good enough for a lot of quick quicks. Will have to learn to run some slower stuff for the middles.
As expected, the SFA service was really tough.
This team will have to learn to fight a lot. The same kind of fight that was shown against Creighton will to be present against the SFAs on the schedule.
