Not intended to be picky at all:

Devon played 2 years at THE Ohio State University as a seldom used guard. The 98-99 team did go to the Final 4 losing in the semis and the 99-00 team lost in the 2nd round.

While highly seeded, the Louisville teams he was associated with did not ever make the Final 4. They did lose to UNC in the Elite 8 one year.

Devon also has served as an assistant coach at Oakland in 2005 when they won the Mid Con tourney and a first round win in the NCAAs.

He has served as an assistant at St. Peters College in NJ as well as stints at ESPN and Fox Sports Net as an analyst.

Yes it was a play in round win. I had to check that myself.

I just didn't want the credentials over stated.

    Carry on. :D

          Smith

Wu - a point I'd like to make about Devon Smith being a sub on the Ohio State team is this: There are lots of very successful coaches out there in all sports who were not great players themselves. Many successful coaches were actually average or less in ability in their chosen sport. They had to make up for it by studying the game & that then later made a great difference for them in coaching.

Great players are almost always terrible coaches, regardless of sport.

Great point. I can't and won't argue that for a second. I just didn't want it to sound like we were touting him being in the F4 everywhere he's been.

He seems like a very personable, intelligent and engaging young man. I suspect he'll be successful at most everything he does.
