Another former recruit for '08 not listed was Eloy Vargas. The 6-9, 220 pound forward committed to Florida in the early signing period. Scout and Rivals 4 star. Rivals has him #26 on the Rivals 150 for 2008. Scout shows we offered.

Vargas' grades are currently under review by the NCAA Clearinghouse, but Coach Donovan doesn't anticipate any issues:

I didn't put MT only recruits on the summary. I don't believe we had indications of Marshall and staff recruiting Vargas. I think there were a few others that were not included in the summary for the same reason. I remember one MT recruit who I added later when an article well after our coaching change said we were interested. That was Devon Manning.

Another we didn't know about was Calvin Lee from Allegany Community College, a 6-8 Center. He signed with Towson State and also had interest from South Carolina, LaSalle and Duquene besides WSU.
