Depending on Cyphers recruiting from other schools, is it possible that he could end up here as a walk-on?

In what scenario would Cyphers walk-on? My understanding is that he has multiple opportunities for a scholarship.

Maybe so, but things like the magically appearing scholly do happen.

Plus if Orupke is on an academic scholly (like I thought was mentioned in another thread), then don't we still have one open for this year, thus giving us 4 next year?

My take is that they're not convinced he will end up playing Basketball. He has a chance to be a special receiver, so I don't blame the kid.

The four we know that we are high on their list are Ravenel, Young, Murry and Cyphers. Ravenel and Young have some visits lined up. It will probably be awhile before a decision. Although we might be the present #1 with Cyphers he is really just starting his recruitment. He said he will probably take an unofficial to Michigan, which I don't think he has done yet. That leaves Murry. His top two are us and Charlotte. Charlotte has offered but has also received a verbal from another SG. We haven't offered but many times offers come during visits. There is rumor of Murry visiting soon. So if we receive a verbal in the real near future, I would expect it to be from Murry.
