What will happen with the last 2017 scholarship?

I have a tough time believing us, or any other big program for that matter, would keep an open scholarship in this day and age. If the player doesn't perform then he transfers and you land the stud player next year anyways.

Totally agree. I meant to add that as the conclusion. I just think he's probably zeroed on in on the 2017 kid he wants and we'll hear about it soon enough.

As far as these events go I think what they are talking about are NCAA Certified Evaluation Events.

It's plausible that we have several offers out that are contingent on grades and are waiting for results.

Remember we had the problem of obtaining grades for the Nairobi kid Ahema. When the 6' 11" Russian was announced I believe the post said he was a 2017 recruit. Then later posts said he was a 2018 recruit. Perhaps we are waiting to announce another recruit, to see if we can get his transcript out of Russia. I don't know, just speculating.

According to Corey Evans of Rivals, Brown is a blue-collar, hard-playing big man and is a "typical Shocker" recruit. We'll need someone to step into Rashard's position after next year and Brown might be that guy.
