That's a bunch of BS...if I had a nickel for every time he spent more than 5 minutes looking for his golf balls in the golf course abyss I would have a bunch of nickels. He struggles with that type of counting. He is improving his golf game by the way.

I just don't see any way we have room for this kid unless Wessel gives up his scholarship.

The Chickens coulda' used a JYD like him this past weekend on the glass.

Mr. New York in B-Ball huh? Why not? He'd be playing some games close to home. Good recruiting tool.

I'd rather not lose a current player (in addition to the one we're already losing) to give this guy a scholarship for a sit-out year. There's a possibility that a current player is leaving that the coaches know about that would open up a scholarship.
Unlike some posters who, in the past, mentioned players by name, I believe we may have two players transfer who are currently on scholarship. One is a guard, one is a forward. One seemed to lose his confidence as the season progressed, the other one used to fight with the coach when he did get into the game, but doesn't play much now and has had other players pass him by.

We also have one open scholarship.

I would not be surprised if we have three new players next year (counting the two already signed), and if my guess is correct, it won't hurt our depth because the frontcourt player does not see the court very much, so we could afford to bring someone in and have them redshirt a year.

it would also give us a leg up on 2018, when we will have to replace a whole bunch of players. We get a guy who can play ball, has good experience and will come in to give us some depth when we need it.

What's not to like about that?

              I'm gonna guess 20%

Or, as you note, it could be that he'd walk on for his transfer year. Isn't that what happened with Peyton Allen, which seemed to work out fine before some unrelated personal event(s) caused him to leave?

The guy doesn't seem to have a zest to stick his nose in the pile (board).

Armstead, Coleby..........it's happened before, and that would be fantastic, but I wouldn't count on it.

I wouldn't count on it in any particular given case.

I do think it's likely at least one such situation is lined up to help replace the 7 seniors next season.

Would think Virginia isn't an option due to being in the same conference

Jon Rothstein reports that Matt is currently on an official visit to Vanderbilt.
