More impressed with his touch around the rim in that video. Pretty sure I saw a multitude of shots from a floater, finger roll, standard layup, reverse layup with ball spin off the glass, and hops to dunk it.

Really agile lateral movement with the ball when he's crossing over too.

Smith looks like a real solid hooper.

These commits have me thinking of next year's roster. Man, we are going to lose some GREAT players, legends even, but we are still going to be loaded with talent. I love the way 3G and his staff have built/are building this program for now as well as the future.

Tough luck on the scheduling. TCC is in a Pensacola Tournament while WSU is in Orlando. Six hour drive.

Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Kinda reminds me of a few of the UNI point guards who were impossible to keep in front of. With the shorter shot clock, I can see us running more drive n' dish and pick n' roll.

If his shot starts falling, that's just gravy.

Certainly hope his 3-pt shot comes around, sooner rather than later.

My first thought when I read the Shocker Nation link: http://goo.gl/Qqky5I "Do we need a Juco guy?" My second, and more pronounced thought. "Hey dumbass, HCGM and crew know what they are doing!"

Robert George was not the best shooter in the land but he was quick on quick weaving in and out of traffic. Mr. Smith can penetrate, dish, and defend.

I'm already excited. If 3G offered him this early, it tells me he really wanted him. If 3G really wanted him, and got him, that is enough for me. I am excited.

Hmmm this is an interesting signing.... He looks like he's going to be a project. Which wouldn't be an issue if he wasn't a JC player with only 2 years of eligibility left....

My initial take is this. GM understands the importance of the PG position not only from an
offensive perspective but a defensive one, as well. Neutralizing / disrupting the opponents
PG is extremely important to breaking down their offense. My only explanation for this
signing is that GM believes he is someone who can be disruptive defensively and I would not
under estimate the importance of that. The kid also seems to handle the ball well, has a good
quick first step, and changes speeds well like FVV.

The point guard position is way up in the air next year... He's just a stop gap keeping the program going kinda guy... Defend with a passion... He don't need to shoot much with frankamp and Allen, Zach Brown mcduffie... Just do what he does best and earn playing time
