I think the sample you're looking at is too small and biased. Keep in mind that TT is probably still adjusting to the speed of the game (sample bias). Give him a season to adjust and then we will see if he is going to be a serviceable starter or a bench guy (sample size too small).

Don't forget he may backslide a little next year, ala' Zach and Shaq. That will also determine PT.

I do agree with the rest of your sentiment, though. Tough that he's having to grow up without the benefit of 'training wheels'.

Hhmmm...no mention of Frankamp Taylor, or even Keyser in your post. I don't know how good ANY of these guys will be, but I'm certainly not ready to write any of them off yet.

Is it bad that I hope some Freshmen DON'T become sophomores if it means they will hit the slump that Kelly, Brown and Morris have?

I think it was Al McGuire.

It was Al, but a good quote all the same.

                • Taylor will know the system and have a year of growing. Smith is a highly rated JUCO. Frankamp is the highest rated player we've had in 20 years, but is yet to take the court. The PG battle will be intense. If I were to place a wager today, I'd bet Frankamp, Shamet, and McDuffie, with Smith, Taylor, and Brown off the bench. Keyser is TBD. A lot can happen in the next 340 days.

                  • Let's not forget the transition period from Juco to D1. Smith won't be the starter day one.

You are usually correct but not guaranteed.

Sorry, wufan, I don't think McDuffie will be playing PG any time soon. But I agree with the rest of your post.

I read this to mean he was betting on CF at the point, LS at the 2, and MM at the 3, with the next 3 coming off the bench in the same spots.

                              • Daishon has been having a good last week. His stats on the last 3 games:
Thursday night: 29 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 4 turnovers and 2 steals. 6-9 from 3, 5-5 from FT line.
                                11/28: 23 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, 3 turnovers. 4-7 from 3, 1-1 from FT line.
                                11/27: 26 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 3 turnovers and 2 steals. 5-5 from 3, 7-9 from FT line.

                                Not too shabby...
