To me, that's someone above 6'9", preferably in the 6'10" and above zone. But we don't seem to have anyone like that on our radar now that IH trampled off to UK. And there certainly isn't anyone on this list that fits that bill. Anybody have any thoughts on a big that we might have in our sights?

2016 PG Gary Naylor, Jr (Heritage Christian) on unofficial visit at Wichita State today. Naylor had a great July/is a player on the rise.

@PaulS:uellentrop: Steffon Mitchell says he will visit Wichita State Oct. 22. Forward from Shakopee, Minn. is also considering Utah State and Central Michigan.

Still lots of PG activity. Perhaps there's still one to come, despite (or in addition to) the commitment from Keyser?

Marshall wants 3 PGs on the roster. After his first couple of years here, I don't think he will ever be caught without several PG options again.

I would rather have a true PG play some 2, even if they're a little undersized, than try and move a wing guard to PG who is limited in running the team.

I guess this is why a lot schools tryt o find point guards in the 6'2" and up range. Makes them a little more versatile.

I would say something similar about rather having a true PF or C. Please forgive my notice of their lack or small presence on this short list. Yes, I know we on this board do not know who all the staff is really looking at or trying to get.

We will be losing a 1, 2, 3, 4 (who has played the 5 almost exclusively to this point), and our only "true" 5. Until I see otherwise, Nurger is more like Kyle Wilson (that's not a bad thing at all) than a 5. EH would need to transform from a 4 to become a 5 and while Shaq is playing the 5, he by himself, doesn't give me warm fuzzies at this point (fouling).

I believe Taylor is a PG first, SG second and that Shamet, while he plays the 2, seems to think and pass like a 1. Is Conner more of a 1 or 2? Unfortunately, we won't know on any of these 3 until well into the season at best. Is C.J. more of a 2 or a 1 and Payton is a 2/3. Yes, I'd like a true PG. Marshall has not been without one since coming to WSU. Also, just how many bodies are out there to fill FVV presence at the point? There is no guarantee that adding one, or even 2, true PGs will be any better than the potential 4 options we have now.

Good points! I see Taylor as a PG, Frankamp as a 1/2, with the potential to be exceptional at both, and Shamet as a wing guard with PG skills, similar to Baker's role.

I think CJ IS Tekele Cotton 2.0. He has plus athleticism and handles. He passes well. I think he has to be taught the PG position, and his success there is yet to be seen. We only need another PG, IMO, if said player is a true floor general or best available.

I think the Hacking Shaq phenomenon is overblown. Grady averaged almost the exact number of fouls per minute last year and was able to play 25+ mpg. As Shaq matures, he will get a more beneficial whistle and should be great on the short corner. No issues with Rauno in the post as an upperclassman. We need a third center in case of injury and or games where fouls could be an issue. I'm okay if Hamilton is that guy, but if he isn't, we need one more.

We look outstanding at the wing guard/forward and stretch four with long, athletic players that can shoot: Landry Shamet and CJ Keyser are 6-4, Peyton Allen And Zach Brown are 6-6, Rashard Kelly is 6-7, Markis McDuffie and Eric Hamilton are 6-8. That's seven players (with one as third string PG, and maybe one as third string center) for three positions of mix and match. Two scholarships left to give. Life is good!

We will sign a PG, I can almost promise you.

Peyton Allen is 6-5 according to the roster.

It looks like there are updated weights, too. Wessel is down to 212 from 218, VavVleet is down to 186 from 195, and Baker is down to 210 from 220.

I recommend a special bucket for recruits, who are 6-9 and taller.
