Mitchell, Djogo, and to some degree Santos all seem like the same type of player. I think you take the first to commit.

I think we NEED a third center next year. If Shaq or Nurger was to get hurt, it could ruin our season.

Yes, Santos would be another nice catch in our large list of possibilities. I too am leaning towards another Center but 3G tends to like lots of guards.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

True. It seems everyone in the fold for next year is a 2/3 or 3/4: Shamet, Brown, Allen, McDuffie, Kelly, Hamilton. Taylor and Frankamp are 1/2s, and Morris and Nurger are 4/5s, all with heavy leanings towards the polar extreme. Not sure about Keyser. He seems like a kid where ou utilize his skills/athleticism at the best position possible, but he's probably a wing guard.

@PaulS:uellentrop: Steffon Mitchell says he will visit Wichita State Oct. 22. Forward from Shakopee, Minn. is also considering Utah State and Central Michigan.

Don't forget Hamilton, wufan -- it's possible he could be the emergency center (kind of like the emergency third catcher on a baseball team) and be on board already, or WSU could go without a real center at times if something happened to one of the guys who's currently here and expected to play some approximation of the center position during 2016-17.

And while you're not forgetting things, remember at what point Grady joined WSU last season. It could happen again in this year's recruiting. And finally, of course, don't forget the possibility that Doc may be onto something with his question about how many scholarships WSU actually will have available to give out.

So much memorization! Will there be a quiz on this later? :)

I've wondered about Hamilton at the five, but no one has seen him make a back to the basket move. I would be just fine with an a able EH playing some center.

If the coaching staff wants EH to play some with his back to the basket and he wants to play, it can be taught. I've seen Baker and Wessell make back to the basket moves. Hamilton is 6'9 and 240. Of course he can learn to play this way. He needs to learn this.

Shocker Madness night. Now EVERYBODY has just got to attend. Just do it!

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:

If Baker and Wessel are willing and able to do it at times as monster says, a 6-9 guy can learn to do it, too.

And no problem on the memory work, wufan. It's like one of those UNC eligibility courses that somehow every student but none of the coaches knew about -- just find someone to take the quiz for you, and you'll be fine.

I think this young man is going to be a shocker. We've had an in-home, others have gone elsewhere, and he's scheduled for an official on Oct 22. IMO all signs point to an announcement shortly thereafter.

I believe Hamilton was listed at 6-9, 230 when the roster first updated on goshockers, now listed at 6-8, 233. Not that it makes much difference, but went to check the 240 mark and that's what I found.

It would be nice to have a 3rd Center that is 6'11 or more but 6'8 and 233 is still big enough to be a back up Center. We'll just have to see what the coaching staff has in mind for future big men.

This kid and then a true point guard and we're done.
