Nothing like relaxing for a couple hours reading SN after watching Jody practice her ladies for a 3 or 4 hours.

And I'll add that if you are the coach, NOTHING is ever a guarantee in recruiting. He knows that at this point in the season, you can only expect to "land" Chadrack or Tevin. You can only hope to find someone that will even improve your team at all. If you can land a solid graduate transfer whom you believe will start instead, that is a big deal. He may have found someone HE is very excited about that we might not think is that big of a deal on paper...Then, in 6 months, we will see what he was thinking all along when that player turns out to be quite a find.

Chadrack is on an NBA dleague roster. Chadrack was a big piece of the puzzle his senior year. I don't think he's a good example if you're lumping him with a guy who played less than a games worth of minutes there about. I'm nitpicking but I feel like that it just did a disservice to Chadrack to compare him to Tevin.

If Grady is the one coming here, it will take him half the season just to learn Marshall's system. And if he has to learn two positions, it could take even longer.

I think the comparison is more accurate if you're talking about CJ's junior year. He made a huge improvement from year 1 to year 2.

Grady would be a huge get. I swear this site loses perspective more often than not when it comes to recruiting.

I can't think of a single player with a proven 14 & 8 stat line that WSU has ever brought in. Watch film and it is obvious that he already knows how to play our offense.

He is our perfect option for next year's team. I will keep my fingers crossed.

I was thinking someone taller than 6'8" would be the emphasis, but both that height and the required talent may not be available.

I'm not that big on Grady. I don't know how 14 and 8 in the Horizon League translates to a top-10 type team. I think it's obvious he could "help", but I don't think I'd call him a "blow the roof off" player.

OTOH, I certainly don't expect Ellis to graduate and trfr to WSU, if that happened, I'd have to peruse phog.net for weeks to observe probably the most epic meltdown ever on any message board.

I get where you're coming from and I believe Grady will be a great get. But... Think back to when we recruited Fred and Cle and 3G didn't say something like "blow the roof off" and those became two of our greatest players. I don't see Grady as a Fred or Cle level get and 3G doesn't bullshit, so something is brewing and I think it's more than just getting Grady.
