There are some other big names looking at him, so they must see something. I highly doubt he's going to end up on a middle-of-the-pack mid-major.

He could be a nice addition to a team like Indiana State, but I doubt he's transferring to be a part of a mid-pack program in any league.
He also played against a hot transfer big in Mark Tollefsen at San Fran. Both scored 17 points, Grady had 7 rebounds to Tollefsen's 3, and Grady played 42 minutes to Tollefsen's 43 in an OT win for Cleveland.

You guys must have access to a database of great last-second spring transfer prospects that I'm unable to see.
Really good P5 teams were literally drooling over Mike Thorne, who was significantly less productive against similar competition. Thumbing your nose at Grady is absurd to me when it's a use-it-or-lose-it scholly for next year.
Now, if there is a 6'9"+ guy out there who is able to come in and stack together 15 ppg and 10 rpg every game, please enlighten me. In the absence of such a stud, I think a solid candidate for 7-10 ppg and 6 rpg sounds absolutely delightful, especially since we can recycle his scholarship immediately for c/o 2016.
The bitching about our post production was practically endless last year. How are people suddenly reluctant to take in a guy like this?

I don't care who it even is. I just want to make sure we get someone with experience. I love our current bigs for who they are, but I want our guards to go out in a blaze of glory, not in a blaze of "carrying an otherwise mediocre team on their shoulders to a decent year."

Here is Jeff *******'s list of the Top 20 Uncommitted Transfers (published 2 hours ago).
#8 on that list - Anton Grady
The only candidate on the list actively "considering" WSU - Anton Grady

Has anyone else heard anything similar? Or is my "friend" just blowing smoke?
That's the hazard of posting things where they don't belong: it's hard for people to find them afterwards. Anyway, I don't know what your friend is smoking, but it sounds like he either read his rumor here and added a little embellishment about the UK/KU connection -- a perfect illustration of how Internet rumors get started and perpetuate themselves -- or heard it from the same double secret source our other poster did, except that the other poster's lunker was ranked even higher. I'd love it, but I'll believe it when it happens; and I'm not exactly holding my breath.Last edited by WSUwatcher; April 27, 2015, 05:15 PM.
