That is a great question. Let me see if I can shed some light.

Mods, forgive me if this should have its own thread.

The legend of @WuDrWu started many moons ago on the prairie. He(sexist assumption I know)!was first seen tripping up referees along court-side during the mid 90's basketball game. Of course, he had around much prior, but this situation, though some question its validity, started a conversation in this thing called a "Chatroom". Then he began appearing everywhere. Womens basketball, baseball, track and field, volleyball, baseball, and there were even some grainy black and white photos that suggest he was on the sideline of Football games(although the validity of these are also questioned).

What we know for fact is that he can be found most days sporting a WSU hat, which in Wichita doesnt allow him to be spotted easily as the sea of crimson and blue has been diluted with black and yellow recently. And we know that he will talk about WSU to any crimson and blue wearing smug, many of whom have never been to the Lawrence campus. Many a KU fan has spoken of interactions with a man described as fiercely loyal to WSU. He is not 10 feet tall as they say, but even The Big Show looks up to him.

He is a FAN among fans. A supporter of teams and coaches with no regards to wins and losses. He is a sharer of experiences with many who would have never else-wise gotten to go. He is a man who knows people, only due to his selfless seeking out of anyone who enjoys talking about the Shockers. He is a family man, who puts them even so slightly above the Shockers (minus a few, understandable exceptions). He is a friend to many, and an enemy only to those who argue with gross assumptions against his Shockers as he can face facts better than most.

So, in the end, who is WuDrWu? He is one of 10,506 at any basketball game. One of 2,700 that attend volleyball games, one of 3,100 that attend baseball games. One of 400 that attend softball games.

My suggestion is if you want to know @WuDrWu, GO! If you attend these 4 events over a span of a season, and pay attention, you will find him. However, many have not due to most fans being of a sport, and not a University. HE is the most supreme fan of WSU you will find, and the person every fan should aspire to be. I hope that helps answer your question.
WuDrWu is Cold in disguise. I am surprised that none of you have made the connection.

At the risk of derailing this thread even more, a WuDrWu roast might be in order.

Back on the rails. Yes, there's a lot of Garrett Stutz there. Very skilled around the basket, is aware that he's 7 feet tall and takes advantage of it, not a springy guy to say the least, weak upper body. There's even the "falling on his a** and still making it" shot like Garrett had in his highlight reel. And don't forget, Stutz turned out to be a pretty decent player for us, too bad he wasn't able to get a redshirt year. But back to this kid, I like a lot of stuff he does on offense and defense. Nice drop step in the post, passes well, anticipates on defense and is able to control the ball after blocks. He looks slow but he moves with efficiency, remember, when you are 7' tall you don't have to take nearly as many steps to get from point a to point b as someone a foot shorter. And he has really really nice hands.

My guess is you put him in a weight room today, he couldn't bench press 150. That is what he needs to be successful at the next level, he needs to get much much stronger, more flexible and do whatever he can to generate more explosiveness and quick twitch in the lower body. (oooh, that sounded nasty)

One other thing, if the tape we saw was chronological, then notice how much better he got over time. The highlights toward the end were of a player that was stronger, quicker and more physical than the guy at the beginning.

Ricky, I thought JH4P cleared this up a while back. HE is WuDrWu.

And Fuente, thanks for your actually relevant report.

Since we're guessing, I'll guess that he'd take 150 pounds and throw it though your freaking windshield from the curb. I saw this dude and he's a moose. He was seated, and not near anybody on the team for comparison, but, gauging proportions I figured he was 6-8/6-9. Very Kurt Bangle-esque from a physique standpoint. Tarzan say: Large humans strong. ;)

Who are we talking about? The skinny 7'1" guy on the video or some 6'8" "moose" you saw ... somewhere ... like at Japan Express, 5 Guys, Krispy Kreme? I'm lost as to why you are attacking me for analyzing what I saw on the video link, who this "moose" person is and what Tarzan has to do with anything.

*sigh* Doesn't an emoticon count for anything anymore? My post was not intended as an attack. I was just fortunate enough to see the lad in person during his visit. On the Koch Arena floor. In basketball gear -- though he didn't play during the brief time I was looking in. I would not describe him as "skinny," as evidenced by the fact that I couldn't tell he was 7-1 based on his proportions alone (and his ungodly large feet which threw me off a bit). He looked physically mature enough that I initially wondered if he was a possible senior D1 transfer of the one-and-done variety. Take that for what it's worth, as I did with your post. ;) <-- this symbol is meant to be indicative of tone of voice.

Thanks for those kind words. I'm honored to be associated in even a small way with the other gentlemen you have named. Overall the quality of posting on Shockernet.net is very good IMHO. A great place to keep informed about the WheatShockers. I often am listening to the call in radio shows and many times I'm thinking that if the callers would just follow Shockernet.net they would already have the answer to their question.
