I can't seem to find the thread where there was discussion of a possible "game changer" big guy looking hard at WSU. Does anyone know if this is still on the table? I heard something similar from a "friend" this weekend that there is a top 50, 7 footer that UK and KU are both after that is leaning towards WSU, but that it was being kept very quiet. Has anyone else heard anything similar? Or is my "friend" just blowing smoke?

Here is the link to his verbal commits pages including his twitter account. Is it me or is this the lunker that everyone is talking about. In the season of the NFL draft he is clearly the best player on the board and our coaching staff was the first of any of the big schools to offer this kid or even recruit him. He comes in and starts at the 2 or 3 day one as I see him and Ron interchangeable. In my mind there is no doubt that this is the guy that HCGM wants and after him not committing during his Kentucky visit I am starting to get a good feeling about this one.

I know it sounds way out there, but seems to fit some of the things I've been hearing. Of course, some of that could just be wishful thinking as well.

It has to (or had to be) Cheick Diallo or Thon Maker. Maybe we were in on Thon Maker before he trimmed his list and that's off the table now. I believe the term "lunker" is straight out of Cold's dictionary and a "lunker" would never be a 6'5" player, let alone a JUCO. Or maybe the whole lunker rumor was conjured up to get people to head over and read the wheatshockers website.

- Best Coach in the country
- Winningest program, the last few years, in the country
- Play with the best backcourt in the country

It shouldn't be a surprise if 3Gs can reel in a big fish!

I think it's wishful thinking... Even Mulder is a reach...I think Marshall will end up with a juco big...6'9''-6'10''... But MArshall is a magician... So you never know

Thon Maker has left us off. 3+ months in college without any practice to learn our system make him not worth crying about.

NOBODY comes in this year and starts - or is even a serious challenger for significant minutes at the 2 or 3. Mulder is not interchangeable with any of WSU's 2's or 3's.

Baker - 6'4" - 220
Wessel - 6'4" - 218
Brown - 6'6" - 213
Mulder - 6'4" - 184

Mulder would be able to provide some depth next year when we will need it. He's definitely not a lunker, but if there's a scholarship available (if Marshall can't find a 6'9"+ player) we'd be happy to have Mulder. I expect that, unlike Calipari, Marshal;l will actually be in town when Mulder visits.
