Like you, I pretty firmly believe that there will be some folks who will not be asked to return next year. I'm thinking some guards at the end of the bench, particularly the ones who have flashed in and out of games (come in, jack up an ill-advised three or miss a defensive assignment and get immediately pulled).

I know that some folks don't like John Robert Simon very well, but I noticed towards the end of the season that if something happened to Fred, the first guy off the bench was not the people referred to above, but JRS. I noted he played in the first half of several games in these situations. Not a bunch, maybe only 5 or so minutes at a time, but he did play.

That suggests to me that coach has more confidence in JRS at the point than some of the scholarship players who are sitting at the end of the bench.
