Wouldn't it be great? Yes. That's why I said I'm not sure how good he really is but his physique reminds me of Kevin Durant and KD did play as a Freshman.

    • He's not as skinny as Manute.

        • We will have three new world class guards next year, but to me McDuffie is the crown jewel of the 2015 class. To say he has huge potential is a insult to the meaning of the words "huge" and "potential."

Don't you really mean that the words huge and potential don't begin to describe his talent? The way you stated it makes it sound like you think he is overrated.

I took a wrong exit off the parkway in the wee hours of a Saturday in NJ and ended up in Paterson. There were cars on blocks in the street, bums huddled around 50 gallon drums on fire, and a teenager pushing a shopping cart with an out of box TV in it. That is one scary place! Markis has to be tough!
Reminds when I got off track in E. St. Louis. I ain't going back there.

The 6-foot-9 sharpshooter has basically done his job as a player in his own way..."He’s going to get bigger,” Hurley said. “He still probably has two inches of growing left, which will make him a realistic 6-foot-10 or 6-foot-11. He needs to get a little more meat on his bones, but he’s still amazingly strong for a skinny kid. He has a bright future.”

                  and:

“He’s been brilliant,” Hurley said. “He is so active for his size. He’s agile. He’s big, but he’s still growing. He’s a very graceful player. He’s a finesse player, but he’s a dangerous player. There aren’t many who can go outside and shoot the three [3-point shot] and then go inside. It’s been a constant progression for him...We’re also startingKaleb Bishop now, so that allows Markis to play the three [small forward], which is his natural position and where he’ll play in college.”

                  A 6-10 three?

Will he play the post next year for the Shockers?

I'm so excited. I just can't hide it.

                  • Or Gary/South Chicago, Indiana. I almost had my car break down there one time (looking for Indiana Dunes and went the wrong way). During broad daylight. I was almost peeing down my leg trying to get somewhere safe. Rusty, abandoned steel mills with all the windows broken out (and surrounded by weeds) as far as the eye could see to the north and the old, dilapidated neighborhoods where said steel workers lived (in Gary) to the south.

Will need to put some weight on if he's going to play the post.

He wouldn't play the low post as much if he is a 4. See the offensive thread shown earlier with the double drag screen and other players spaced out for how they will utilize him.

                        • If he can play D as a Freshmen and NOT be a liability...I hope he does play the 3 spot. Imagine Fred, Ron, McDuffie, Kelly (or Brown) at the 4 and ShaQ at the 5 for a few possessions together. McDuffie could just spot up and shoot over pretty much anybody for the THREE!!!

Having said that...I doubt he plays much his first year. But it would be cool to see that for a couple minutes each game while he's learning and adjusting to the Top-10 D-1 program that is WICHITA ST.!!!

Yeah, apparently I'm not winning at English.

Yes, the words "huge potential" doesn't do justice to his level of talent.
