His coach has made similar comparisons....

This may have been posted in this topic earlier but I just saw it.

          • what I hate about most highlight tapes is that they mostly just show the player scoring baskets. If he wants to play the 3 at WSU, it's more about who he can defend than it is about shooting 3 pointers. Anyone on our team 1-5 has the green light to shoot 3 pointers if they're good enough at it. Derail Green also thought he was a 3 and look where that got him. Not saying Markis isn't, but he's gonna have top prove it on D.

I'm pretty sure I simply posted a highlight video. Didn't know I was discussing what position he will play in college. WTF?

Not attacking you, relax. Just making a comment.

Who cares what position he plays 4,3? I just know that he'll play.

Just saw a pucture of him on twitter. It was a wierd angle, but that kid could be nicknamed Twiggy. I totally stand corrected on his playing at the 4 if he is really as skinny as he looks in that picture.

The loiks a little distorted, so it might not be the best indicator..

                          • I don't know how good he really is (skills are nasty), but did Kevin Durant play as a Freshman? Let the kid come here and prove himself. We will be fine at the 3 and the 4. We have some players with skills that could compliment each other. Will they be as good as Tekele? No. But we will be good at those positions with Baker, Wessel, Brown, Kelly, McDuffie, and Shamet, we have a lot of options.

I have every expectation he will be good player, but he he has got some serious work to do with Kerry. Maybe he needs to be on the diet Shaq was on BEFORE Shaq got here.

                              :-)

Kevin Durant was National Player of the Year as a Freshman.
