If we're gonna sign one over, this is the guy I want.

Maybe Marshall is thinking that if we're over and not enough players end up leaving this spring, he can have one or more of them go prep for a year at Sunrise.

This sounds right. I think a lot of folks are assuming Ron won't be back next year.

@JonRothstein: 2015 forward Markis McDuffie visits Boston College this weekend. VCU, SMU, and Wichita State are all in the mix.

With the speculation over another player (hint: didn't play at Shocker Madness), I wouldn't be surprised to see this kid sign.

Even if "who know who" does figure it out (which I hope he does for his sake), there are still ways to find room for new signings.

Does anybody know if we are looking at any juco big men? Seems like that would be a natural fit for us next year. To me McDuffie seems a lot like Hamilton but a couple of inches shorter.

McDuffie isn't as big or as strong as Hamilton (Hamilton will be 6'9 240-245 where McDuffie will be 6'8 220 or maybe 230) but his agility, quickness, and ball handling abilities are so much farther than Hamilton at this time. It looks like he has the ability to guard much smaller forwards/guards at this time. McDuffie's game is full court, with the abilities to get to the hole right now. Hamilton has to build up these capabilities. In my opinion, Hamilton will be a 4-5 and McDuffie will be a 3-4. Different types of players and if one doesn't have the hunger to continually improve, the other one is there. Depth is the key to building up the Shockers to be a National player year in and year out. We won't get the 5 star players and won't get as many of the 4 star players. We need depth of players who play selflessly and as a team and players who want to continue to grow.

I sure hope Hamilton gets to 240 and MuDuffie is over 220. Right now they are listed at 200 and 190 respectively. Outside of that, I agree with your assessment of McD as a 3/4, but envision Hamilton as a 4 only. That could certainly change if he is 6-9, 235 or above.

I could be wrong but Hamilton looks to me like he has a wide frame with potential for growth.

Seems to me that Hamilton tweeted that he was already 6'9" 240

Rashard Kelly is up around 240 now.
