A great program has no players who can't be replaced.

Sounds like the story Aubrey Sherrod used to tell (paraphrased here, by the way; I make no claim of precision) about Gene Smithson sticking his hand in a bucket of water, observing the ripples, and telling his guys, "That's our program with you," then pulling it out, letting the water get still again, and saying "That's our program without you -- looks a lot like it did before you got here."

The point is well taken -- if the program is genuinely strong and established, it's bigger than any player. But having said that, there's no doubt that Cotton's contributions will be hard for any one guy to replace. He truly is WSU's Secret Weapon.

I know recruiters are salesmen, but more upside coming in than Early, Baker, and FVV? That's some big-time talent. Of course, Baker and VanVleet also have exceptional basketball IQ -- if McDuffie matches up in that area too, he'll be quite a sight to see.
