  • Going into yesterday's game with Detroit, the "bigs" are shooting well enough and rebounding okay.

    FG% REB/40 PTS/40 BLK/40
    Morris 57.9% 8.0 13.3 1.3
    Carter 55.6% 10.8 24.6 1.2
    Kelly 52.9% 12.8 8.8 0.8
    Nurger 52.6% 4.5 11.7 2.2
The problem is getting them enough minutes due to defense and fouls. That WILL come.

btw, Baker and Brown are the only others shooting 50% or better from the field.
"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

Next year, yes. But in 2016 we lose Fred, Ron, Evan. I also still expect to see lots of growth in Shaq, Kelly, and Nurger by then.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

      • @JamieShaw5: Great write up about Seventh Woods of @HammondHoops & his brilliant performance yesterday

Seventh Woods missed his first three shots but it wasn’t because of the adrenaline he felt facing Perry Dozier in front of a capacity crowd. Woods was carrying a heavy heart.

        • Seventh Woods is a 6'-2" 11th grade combo guard at the Hammond School in Columbia, SC (Class of 2016).

Highlights from his game on 12/13/14. He has great quickness and his defense is tenacious. Seventh would fit right in at WSU.

          • Good article on the kid. I didn't realize Xmans kid was playing with woods. I apologize if the link doesn't work. I'm at work.

              • Another article on Seventh:

WSU is even mentioned in the article:

He also was the youngest member of USA Basketball’s under-16 national team in 2013, and he’s already received offers to play for North Carolina, Wichita State, South Carolina, and Clemson — most likely a quick pit stop before the NBA.

I'm guessing Seventh since he's in the class of 2016, because Fred would have graduated :-)

No one. WSU will quit issuing #23 in advance of its eventual retirement.

Him and ACJR can both go there and WSU can sign both of them and 7th!

                            Problem solved :)
