        Certainly not his best performance.

        • The team Kilgore was playing was using a sagging 2-3 zone the whole game. With that being said Bush didn't really do anything to command the ball and his rebounding was not what I was hoping for. However he played alot which will bode well for next year and he is the starting center for a top 5 team so that has to say something. I think he is head and shoulders above where EO was when he got to WSU. He is raw but has good hands and does well from the line. He was playing against a guy that had to be at least 3 inches shorter and was more of a perimeter bid, so Bush was put into the pick and roll quite a bit. He was hedging on the high screen just like Marshall likes his big me men to. However he does need alot of work with this skill but his foot speed seems to be there and with the coaching he will get at WSU I think the sky is the limit.

            • Kilgore moved up a spot to #2 in the country.

              • Here is a real question or two for anyone who remembers.

Also they are slightly loaded because I want Bush Dubya to be solid. I'm starting to think he really might be.

Was EO's team a top 5 team in juco?

What were EO's stats on that team?

EO's team played in the NJCAA National Tournament; not sure, but I believe they were ranked.

                  • It would be nice to know the minutes / game associated with those stats for Orukpe as a redshirt freshman. The FG percentage being under 50 surprised me a bit; the FT percentage did not -- unfortunately, it never really picked up enough. Impressive blocks, though, even at that point.

                    • He going to be a Junior when he gets here or a Sophomore?
The mountains are calling, and I must go.

                        • EO and Three Rivers CC played in the NJCAA championship game, which they lost.

I know HCGM believes B-Wam is ahead of EO and ultimately it's coach's opinion that matters. After watching two of his games, I think he'll be better when he arrives as a junior than EO was as a sophomore. I'm not sure if he'll ever be able to meet or exceed what EO was defensively as a senior.

                          • I'm only expecting one year of actual production out of Wamukota. I doubt he will be able to beat out Carter or Morris for minutes next year. In his St=r. year, I'd expect something resembling Orukpe's Sr. year with a little more offensive production and a little less defensive production.

In the worst scenario, Bush will give our 6'8" guys a chance to practice against a taller player who can D it up some. Just that much could make his presence on the team worthwhile.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                            • Marshall expects, or at least hopes Bush gets some minutes next year at the 5.

                              • I think you are expecting way too much of Morris next year or even the next two years for that matter.
